This is one
of my most favorite finds of 2016.
I was walking
home from work one morning when I saw this right smack in the middle of Ayala
Triangle.
I saw books
inside! It’s a library!! It’s the first time I’ve seen this in person; I used
to just read about these in the internets.
We have The
Book Stop to thank for this genius idea. A pop up library intended to let the
public to just wander in and read, borrow books, leave books behind to add to
the collection.
It works on
an honor system. You can get a book from the shelves and just return them when
you’re done! I’m planning to give a few of my own books next week so the’d have
fresh batch of books there. From what I see everytime I pass by, it looks like
everyone is enjoying this little pop up book stop!
I also love
how the whole thing looks like their logo. It really does grab your attention,
even though you’re not a bookworm.
You can check
it out at the Ayala Triangle Gardens til May 7. Then it will be moving to
Intramuros and stay there from May 14 to July 9 (!!!)
Follow them
on their Facebook page, www.facebook.com/TheBookstopPH, for updates. They have a bunch of events lined up so go follow them if you don't want to miss out!
